My Story:

In 2019, I was at a work retreat in San Diego. Everyone was buzzing about this breathwork session that was scheduled, but honestly, I wasn’t interested at all. It wasn’t something I thought I needed, and I didn’t fully understand what breathwork even was.


I remember feeling a bit skeptical. I was thinking, 'How can breathing be anything more than just, well, breathing?' But I was at a there and being asked to participate, and everyone seemed excited, so I decided to give it a shot, even though I wasn’t convinced it would do much for me.


As soon as the session started, I felt this strange mix of curiosity and resistance. The facilitator guided us through deep, intentional breaths, and at first, I just felt... uncomfortable. But then something shifted. I started to feel these emotions rise up, emotions I hadn’t realized I was holding onto. It was like my body was releasing something it had been holding in for years.


By the end of the session, I was completely overwhelmed. It wasn’t just physical – it was emotional too. I felt lighter, more grounded, like something had been unlocked inside me. I walked out of that room feeling like a new person. And honestly, that was the moment I realized that breathwork wasn’t just some trend – it was something that could actually change you from the inside out.
